MicroSonic Spaces BRG

Interactive Audiovisual Installation

MicroSonic Spaces is a generative and interactive music system, based on the idea of a virtual ecosystem of autonomous agents that generate sound as they live, move and interact with other agents and with the visitors. Musically, the interactive installation format is explored as a dynamic meta-compositional system, combining conventional music concepts and sound generation parameters, with the non-linear nature of this format.

The installation was created with MaxMSP (sound) and OpenFrameworks (graphics). The interaction uses a Leap Motion sensor.

MicroSonic Spaces BRG was supported by Fundação Bracara Augusta for Noite Branca festival in Braga, Portugal, and presented at Museu dos Biscaínhos, between August 31st and September 2nd, 2018.
